About the Program

This Program is part of the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund's strategy to reduce growth in vehicle miles traveled and greenhouse gas emissions. The Program will also contribute to the city’s goal of providing affordable and accessible electrified transportation for low‑ and moderate‑income residents.

E-Bikes

Aventon Standard

These are bicycles with rechargeable batteries and an electric motor that gives riders a boost as they pedal. A standard e-bike is considered a regular-format electric bicycle meant primarily to carry one rider (and lightweight cargo).

E-Cargo Bikes

EBikeCargo

A cargo e-bike is larger than a standard e-bike and is designed for carrying an additional rider and/or heavier loads. Cargo e-bikes have extended or strengthened frames (for example, long tail, box bike) that can generally support 100 to 300 pounds of cargo in addition to the rider.

Adaptive E-Bikes

AdaptiveBike

An adaptive e-bike is an electrically assisted bicycle specifically designed or modified to accommodate riders with disabilities and/or limited mobility. Adaptive e-bikes use pedal assist and/or throttle systems, up to 1000 watts, to reduce physical strain and enable independent mobility for a wide range of abilities.
